Pro Corda Festival Finalists

Fantastic achievement by our Year 8 quartet.

Our Year 8 Violin Quartet achieved great heights!

Our Year 8 Violin Quartet, coached by Head of Strings, Ms Drury, gained a place in the Finals of this year's Pro Corda Chamber Music Festival, following performances in the preliminary round and semi-finals in London.  This year saw a record number of entries, so their achievement is all the more impressive!

The Finals were held at Brighton College; in addition to performing, our pupils heard other chamber ensembles from around the country, ranging in age from 11 to 18. Congratulations to the four pupils for their commitment and progress and for representing the Latymer School so well across the whole event!

"It was a really great experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the different music and the days out we had. Overall, it was really fun."

"I really enjoyed the trip to Brighton for Pro Corda and representing the school in this competition, it was exciting. I loved how afterwards we got fish and chips which made it a great experience and I felt that all our hard work was worth it."
