The Latymer School A and B teams took part in qualifying event for the English Schools Chess Championships, held at Highgate School last Thursday. There were six schools at the even, many of which had more than one team.

Each team played three rounds of games, with Latymer A undefeated in all their games in two of the rounds, but still winning the last round overall. Latymer B were undefeated in one of their rounds of games. Out of the 12 teams present, Latymer A placed second and Latymer B third - these are fantastic results for the teams, and it gains them both entry to the next round of the tournament in Spring 2024.
