Metropolitan Police Territorial Support Group Visit
On Thursday, two officers from the Metropolitan Police Territorial Support Group (TSG) came in to speak to Years 7 & 8 about what they do and to provide some safety advice before half term. They explained how they train for a range of different situations, some the pupils knew and some they didn't, and gave good tips on how to stay safe on the street and the law around fireworks and bonfire night. The pupils engaged well and had a chance at the end to ask questions, which they enjoyed!
As Mikaeal, Year 7, comments "It was very intriguing and it was quite surprising as I did not know that support officers dealt with CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear emergencies) and the officers had interesting stories to tell. It was very fun overall! Thank you to the officers for speaking to us."
