Year 8
The Year 8 rugby team has had an excellent season and remains unbeaten through 2024-2025. The squad has seen new recruits join and increased the competition for places in all positions. Such is the positive trend for this team, it has seen a number of the team join local rugby clubs which is evident from their game understanding and skill level at this stage in their Rugby careers.
The team has played Wren Academy (W 35-25), QE Barnet B (W 55-10), Robert Clack (W 35-20) and in recent weeks have won the Saracens Invitational Tournament, which was held on the pitch at the Stone X Stadium. In the tournament itself the team played 5 other schools from across north London, including a few schools that we have not played before, so things are looking good for an even busier fixture list for next season. We are also hopeful that we will see the boys enter their first Middlesex County Tournament in October/November to compete against all the best schools in the north London area.
Well done to everyone who has played a part in the squad for this season and also a massive thank you to Mr Newey, who has played a big role in encouraging the boys to be ambitious and continue to improve to be ready to take on the next challenge.
