On Tuesday, Years 7 and 8 students were lucky to have an assembly with Frances Hardinge, the award-winning author of The Lie Tree. Frances, visiting the Latymer School for the first time, then ran two workshops in the Learning Resource Centre with a number of students from each year group.

As Elif and Lea, Year 8 students, commented “This experience was very enlightening and encouraged us to be more creative. We loved how she helped us to elaborate on our ideas and showed us the journey throughout to becoming an author. Overall, it was an incredible, enjoyable, experience that gave us a lot to take away!”
