Economics students learning about the US dollar.
As Cilek, President of the Economics Society and Year 12 student, comments "On 29th January, a group of Year 12 Economics students and I attended an LSE public lecture on the US dollar. The talk was delivered by Kenneth Rogoff, former IMF Chief Economist and current Harvard professor, and was based on his book, "Our Dollar, Your Problem".
The lecture provided valuable insights into the influence of the Dollar on the rest of the world and how this has developed throughout history. It was another fantastic opportunity to build on our knowledge of Economics in a global context and to gain further insight into what it is like to study at one of the world’s leading universities for Economics. In the following Economics Society session, my peers and I will discuss what we learned at the lecture and share our opinions on the topic.
Following the success of recent trips, the Economics Society plans to organise further visits to LSE."
