Fundraising concert
17/03/2026

Thank you everyone!
Our 2026 Pop, Jazz and All That edition was another very successful event last Friday. The Great Hall was packed, with performances across different eras and genres: from Purple Rain and Six The Musical to Russian punk rock and a South African worship song. The Year 13 choir’s rendition of Coda from the Notebook was a fitting and heartfelt way to represent their final Pop Jazz event, whilst a Year 7 group bravely took to the stage to sing a lovely “Let it Be”. No matter what the song, the audience was arm waving, clapping and cheering in equal measures.
As Nina, Year 12 Music student and part of the organising committee, commented "Running Pop, Jazz and All That was such a fun experience. Even right at the start of the planning process, when we were holding auditions, it was amazing to see all the talent amongst students at Latymer.
One of my favourite parts of planning was writing the script - we loved adding all of the jokes and skits into it. The night itself was better than I could have imagined! Everyone who came seemed to really enjoy it, and the audience were great (e.g. clapping along to Purple Rain, laughing at our puns). We all felt so lucky to have the opportunity to organise the event, and I can’t wait to see how next year’s turns out!"
A big thank you to Year 12 Music students, all the performers, the students helping out (sound & light, photography) and the staff involved for making this another memorable concert and for helping raise almost £3,700 to be split between the Music Society and the Latymer Foundation.
