Headteachers Welcome

Thank you for your interest in The Latymer School; choosing your child’s secondary school is one of the most important decisions you take as a parent and it is important that you are well informed.

The Open Evening will give you the opportunity to meet with Senior Staff both in an informal and formal setting, as there will be optional presentations during the evening, there will also be guided tours of the school which will include presentations and displays by individual departments.

For you, the most important part of the evening is seeing the school, talking to staff and students. If you are unable to fit the Senior Leadership and Student Presentations in to your visit, please do not worry they will also be available on the school website after the Open Evenings.

We look forward to meeting you and hope you will find the evening helpful in deciding the next stage of your child’s education.

In Year Vacancy in Year 8

The school has been notified of an unexpected In Year vacancy within our current Year 8 group.

Therefore, the school is keen to fill this place as soon as possible, rather than have it vacant for the rest of this academic year. As you will probably be aware, our published admission arrangements state that our waiting list is open from 1 September 2019 to 1 June 2020 but in this very unusual circumstance the school wishes to offer the place as soon as possible . If you are a parent of a current Year 8 student who is attending another school and are interested in this vacancy, please register your interest before the deadline of Friday 15 November 2019.

Please email: – giving your child’s name, date of birth and home address.
