Sports Day

15/07/2026

Part 1 of the annual tradition - Years 7-10

On Monday we enjoyed a wonderful Sports Day in optimum temperatures! It's always such a fun and positive day in the calendar with all students from Years 7-10 getting involved in a variety of sports ranging from the classic athletics events to the much loved 'Tug of War'.

Students sported some excellent face paints and accessories to pledge allegiance to their house, and we saw some fantastic performances from the team events in the morning sessions.

The afternoon session started off rocking with Mr Reader and Mr Billington on the 'DJ decks' and Miss Perrin leading the dance troupe to entertain the crowds! The much-awaited 'squadron relay' saw a student from each year group and two staff members run for their house, with Ashworth finishing victorious.

Sports Day embodies lots of core values of the PE department, enjoyment, teamwork and perseverance, and we want to thank all staff and students who were involved in making the day so enjoyable!

A big congratulations to the following students who have managed to set a new 'Sports Day record' - hopefully their name will go down in Latymer sporting history forever more:
