Student Linus and Headteacher Mr Gilford

Outstanding result from Year 10 student

Linus, Year 10, was presented a book prize and silver medal by Mr Gilford today. Both prizes were awarded to Linus by the UK Mathematics Trust for his fantastic results in the Intermediate Mathematical Olympiad Hamilton paper, which is a two-hour long written paper consisting of six difficult problems.

Linus qualified to sit the Olympiad after he achieved the highest score in the school for the UKMT Intermediate Maths Challenge which took place last term.

As Mr Gilford commented "This is a wonderful achievement, and it was lovely to hear Linus share how much he loves maths. We are all really proud of him."

Congratulations Linus on doing so well!
