On Thursday 11th June, Key Stage 3 Debate Club gave a debate in Year 7 assembly.  

The Proposition team consisted of Nooriyah, Angelina and Diyaan; the Opposition were Kayden, Nikolai and Saffiyah, all kept in check by the chair, Gania.

The teams were debating the motion "This House would abolish the British monarchy" and both teams put forward compelling arguments, using their research and rhetorical flair to persuade the audience.

The vote was very close, but the winners were the Opposition, so the monarchy is safe for now!
