Latymer students recently took part in the Francophone Theatre Festival, performing alongside a number of prestigious schools including Eton College, Westminster School, Wellington College and the City of London School.

Ms Mparia, Head of French, explains "we are delighted to share that Latymer was awarded one of the seven prizes presented on the evening, with Jasmine (Year 13), winning the award for Best Lead Performance!"

The students delivered a confident and engaging performance entirely in French, demonstrating impressive teamwork, commitment and creativity. After weeks of rehearsals, they rose to the challenge of performing in front of a large audience and represented the school with great pride.

This wonderful achievement highlights the students’ dedication as well as the strong collaboration between the French and Drama departments, with special thanks to Ms Hammer, Head of Drama, for her support and expertise throughout the preparation process.

Congratulations to all the students involved for stepping outside their comfort zone and embracing this fantastic opportunity to bring French language and theatre to life.
