Trip to Tate Gallery
04/02/2026

Year 11 students learning in situ.
The Art Department recently took the Year 11 Artists to the Tate Modern to explore and look at artwork to inspire their upcoming Art exam. They enjoyed looking at, and sketching, the work on display.
Jia, Year 11, writes "The trip to the Tate Modern was deeply insightful for our GCSE Art exam preparation. We, as a class, explored the permanent exhibitions, ranging from Lichtenstein to Ming Wong. With our GCSE exam growing ever closer, this trip allowed all of us to find artists, mediums, and styles that will influence our art exam outcome and help us to expand our sketchbook work".
Year 11, 12 and 13 Art students have all started their exam projects and we are looking forward to seeing these develop and arrive at a finalised conclusion during the 10- and 15-hour exams in March. We look forward to showcasing their innovative and creative ideas at the Art exhibitions in April and May.
We wish Year 11,12 and 13 the best of luck for these exams!
