Last week, Year 11 pupils experienced a motivational morning with external speaker, Mr Dry, from Maximize! The Great Hall was set up in the style of an exam hall and pupils were provided with lots of handy tips and advice to help them in their preparation for the practice exams. Mr Dry also spoke to the year group about useful ways to start the exam and how to look after themselves during the exam season.

The pupils were engaged in brain-teaser games, some of which got them moving in their seats and they also heard stories from Mr Dry of the people he has met and how he has been inspired by their life choices and outlook. Pupils were given a booklet which summarises the points delivered in the study skills session and pupils were encouraged to make their own notes too. Miss Perrin, Head of Learning, was very impressed with the engagement of the year group, the respectful way they listened to our guest and their confidence in participating.
