On Thursday 27th, Friday 28th and Saturday 29th November, Sister Act will be the latest Latymer School Production featuring many talented students from Years 10-13, as cast, band and crew.

Performances will take place in the Great Hall at 7pm for three nights. Sister Act is a vibrant musical based on the 1992 film, featuring music by Alan Menken and a story about a nightclub singer who finds refuge in a convent.   

We begin in Philadelphia in 1977 and see lounge singer Deloris Van Cartier auditioning for her gangster boyfriend Curtis Jackson, but he refuses to let her perform in his club. To make matters worse, he also ditches her to spend Christmas with his wife. Deloris decides to break up with Curtis but accidentally stumbles upon him and his gang killing a man who they think ratted them out to the cops. Deloris flees to the police, and officer Eddie decides to put her into witness protection and hide her in a convent; her new name is Sister Mary Clarence.  

The cast has worked incredibly hard putting the show together and this much-loved musical comedy includes fantastic hits such as Take Me To Heaven,  Fabulous Baby,  Raise Your Voice and many more.
