A huge thank you to all the guests who braved the storm to come and compete in the 400th anniversary quiz last Saturday in the Great Hall.

It was lovely to see 14 teams and a great mix of current and former students, parents and governors/trustees.
Everyone played valiantly across 10 rounds, with some Christmas singing in the middle courtesy of Isaac Li, class of 2023, who was quiz master along with Ms Cobbett.

In the end, we had to go to multiple sudden death questions to split the last two teams who both had 77 points. Huge congratulations to Arwen and Gaia, Year 9 students, and their families for bringing home the one-off trophy and proudly wearing their gold (paper) medals! As Arwen commented afterwards “On Saturday night we won the Latymer quiz! Thank you very much to everyone who organised it. The atmosphere was thrilling, and the questions were great. Commiserations to all the other teams!"

The event helped to raise over £1,500 towards the “40 for 400” appeal, so thank you all for taking part and helping raise vital funds for the school!
