Earlier this month, Sixth Form students Anastasia, Mae, Catherine and Clara went to the London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham to compete in a Team Problem-Solving event based on the UMKT Senior Team Maths challenge.

As Anastasia, Year 12 student, explains "The first round was a bit tough, although as the challenge went on, we warmed up more in each round. We did really well in the Cross-number round, and smashed the Shuttle round, getting the last shuttle done in 2 minutes, rather than the eight minutes we were given, as well as getting all answers correct.

Overall, we scored 163/210 placing us 7th out of 32 schools (only 20 points from first place). We all really enjoyed the event, and we are grateful that Mrs Smith was able to take us there!"
