Dance Club update

A great experience at the Royal Academy.

Taking part in the Royal Academy's Day of Dance

On Wednesday 29th March, ten members of the Dance Club travelled to Trinity Laban in central London to participate in the Royal Academy's Day of Dance.  Here a participating student recalls the day:

"The start to the day was slightly nerve-wracking, but also exciting as we got to showcase the hip-hop routine we had been working on at school, choreographed by a practitioner from Step into Dance. We then watched the interesting pieces the two other schools had prepared.

Afterwards, we took part in an excellent workshop where we were taught a fun but challenging dance by a professional dance instructor as well as doing a creative exercise where we performed our own dance moves to each other.

Finally, we sat in on a few of the dance classes taking place and had the opportunity to talk to the students, ask questions and get advice from some people who are currently pursuing a dance career.

Overall, it was a very exciting day, with many helpful, fun and exciting opportunities!"
