Netball squads

24/10/2024

Great results for our U14 and U16 Netball squads.

U14 NETBALL
The U14 Netball has now made it to the third round of the Sisters in Sport Trophy after a convincing win over Kings Rochester, with the final score 30-17.
The opposition travelled all the way from Kent, and it was a good battle in the first quarter with Latymer just edging it by one goal. However, we got into our stride and managed to extend to an eight-goal lead by the second quarter.
Captain Annellise had to leave for the second half, but Ava and Simar stepped up to the plate to ensure the goals kept coming! A big well done to Ava and Zoe who were nominated as Players of the Match! We are really looking forward to our next round.

U16 NETBALL
On Thursday 17th October, the U16 Netball team saw success in their National Netball competition.
The opposition, St Catherine’s based in Twickenham, came to Latymer wanting the win. However, the Latymer team led by captain Theda stayed cool, calm and collected. Excellent passages of play, smooth transitions from attack to defense and quick passing resulted in a 50-15 win in favour to our U16 team.
They now progress to the quarterfinals of the Sisters N Sport National competition. All played fantastically and Miss Barrell was incredibly proud!
