This year for the first time, Braintastic came to Latymer to speak to our students about the brain and some of its functionality. These extracurricular activities were a real hit with the students!

Workshop 1 - Am I Normal?
Alexander, Year 7, comments “I really enjoyed the Braintastic presentation which allowed us to think about what ‘normal’ actually represents and helped us understand neurodiversity better and appreciate everyone’s uniqueness. The brain art, which showcased how the same raw materials can result in completely different pieces of art, was a really powerful way of demonstrating our individuality and the impact it can have.” 

Workshop 2 - Mastering Memory
Jaya, Year 9, explains “The presentation from Braintastic was fun and very interesting. It really made me think more about the brain and the cool things it can do. My favourite part was learning about false memories, it had me intrigued.  Additionally, I was very happy because we were provided with tips for both studying and memorising - they are both things I struggle with.”
