Another fantastic events by our Year 8 students!
The Year 8 students have spent the past six weeks working hard on their Science Fair projects, and we are excited to share the amazing work they have done. The Fair gave them the chance to explore their scientific ideas, try out experiments, and draw conclusions.
We gave out 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each form, along with an overall Year 8 winner, and also celebrated achievements in Art, Design, and Technology. Additionally, the English department worked with students to write poems on science and space, which were also displayed at the fair!
It was fantastic to see all the effort and creativity the students put into their projects.
"I really enjoyed participating in the Year 8 Science Fair this term, I found it very exciting that we got to conduct our own research and experiments. I loved looking at everyone else's projects, I learned a lot about things we might not normally cover in science lessons. I thought the Science Fair was really great as we learned how to do things independently, which is definitely needed as we go into later years. I am glad that we all got to take part in this amazing experience!" Izzy
"I really enjoyed the Year 8 Science Fair because it was a great opportunity to see how creativity and science can come together. Each project was unique, and it was exciting to see the different approaches my classmates took to solve problems or explore cool ideas. I particularly liked how everyone explained their projects with such enthusiasm, and it made learning feel more hands-on and fun. It was also inspiring to see how students used simple materials to create complex experiments or models, showing just how much we can learn and experiment with everyday items. Overall, it was an awesome way to make science more engaging and memorable." Zeeshan
