Speak out workshop

Special event for our Year 10 students.

Learning to speak confidently and effectively in public

On Friday 25th November some of our Year 10 students took part in a Jack Petchey Speak Out workshop, where they learnt how to speak confidently and effectively in public. At the end of the whole-day session our students prepared and performed a speech to their peers, thinking thoughtfully about how to structure and deliver content to an audience.

The English Department would like to extend a big well done to all Year 10 students who took part in the session and congratulations to our two highly commended participants: Oluwashola (Wyatt) and Abbas (Wyatt).

Congratulations also to our five workshop winners, who will go on to deliver their speeches in an assembly final on Thursday 15th December: Oluwaseyifunmi (Lamb), Gian Eldrik (Ashworth), Francesca (Dolbe), Frankie (Ashworth) and Lewis (Keats).
