Raising funds as part of the 400th Anniversary House Challenge

In November, the Lamb house organised a sponsored walk of 1,624m to raise funds for Latymer's 400th anniversary library appeal and the London Air Ambulance Charity (LAAC).

Vincent, Alexandra and Amy (Lamb House Captains) tell us more:

Lamb's House Assembly last Thursday was graced by David Springer, a representative from the LAAC, to whom we presented a large cheque with the £414.05 that we had raised for them!

The LAAC saves over 2,000 lives a year around London, reaching anywhere within the M25 within 11 minutes with their two new helicopters. The service, which was the first to administer on-scene anaesthetic and perform open-heart surgery on the roadside, costs around £17 million to run.

The LAAC has been Lamb's house charity for several years, and they get 95% of their funding from charitable donations like this one. We look forward to raising more money for such a valuable service!

In our assembly, we also celebrated the victory of 8 Lamb and 11 Lamb in their respective House Sport year groups! And 9 out of 20 Instrument and Vocal Performance Competition finalists are in Lamb House too! Purple flock, Lamb rock!

Well done to Lamb for their fantastic fundraising efforts!
