Sixth Form visit to St Paul's Cathedral
06/11/2024
Trip for Religious Studies students.
On the 5th November, Sixth Form Religious Studies students were fortunate to be invited to a lecture in St Paul's Cathedral by Diarmaid MacCulloch (Professor Emeritus of The History of the Church at Oxford University) on the subject of relationships, sex, and marriage throughout Christian history.
He touched on a variety of historical, political, and religious themes particularly relevant to the second year of the A-Level course. Following the lecture, we had the opportunity to ask Professor MacCulloch questions which he answered in great detail, providing a historical context for Christian Theology.
As Ely and Yael, Year 13 students, comment "It was a fantastic, thought-provoking experience that engaged students and extended our knowledge and passion for the subject."
