Halloween Fair

Raising funds for good causes
Our recent Halloween Fair, jointly organised by the Charities Committee and Eco Committee, was a huge success, drawing students from all years for a fun and festive experience. Thanks to the participation from our school community, the event raised a total of £407.
This was divided between the Eco-Committee and the Charities Committee, with the Charities Committee’s
chosen charity being Crisis - a particularly important cause as we approach the colder winter months.
The Halloween Fair featured a variety of exciting activities, with a pick-and-mix stall and 3-minute bullet chess games against our in-house Chess mastermind Greg (Year 13) proving especially popular. Amongst the other games, students enjoyed trying to guess the number of sweets in a jar, with a lucky Year 7 student taking home the prize. There was also a raffle, where a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts was awarded to the winner.
In addition, we organised a fun and free costume competition for Sixth Form students (which proved to be very popular), adding a bit of spooky flair to the day. The competition, judged by Ms Kelsall and Mr Ogidi, included five runner-up prizes and a grand prize of Krispy Kreme doughnuts to a student dressed in a very convincing grim reaper costume. Many thanks to all who participated!
