The results from the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge have now been received. Of the 182 students who participated 72 achieved a Gold level certificate, 52 a Silver certificate and 35 a Bronze certificate.
The paper was out of a possible maximum score of 135 and the score boundaries for this year's certificates are: Bronze - 51-64, Silver - 65-80, Gold - 81+
Furthermore, those students who achieved a score between 93 and 112 have been invited to take part in the Junior Kangaroo follow-on round (a 1 hour, multiple choice paper) and students who achieved a score of 113, or better, have been invited to take part in the Junior Maths Olympiad (a 2 hour, written paper). This year we have 22 students who have qualified for the Junior Kangaroo round and 9 students who qualified for the Junior Maths Olympiad. Both papers will be completed in school on Tuesday 14th June and we wish all participants the best of luck.
Year 8 students will be informed of their score in their maths lesson this week. Well done to all participants!
