Neel Nanda (Year 12) has recently achieved 40 out of 40 in the final round of the British Mathematics Olympiad!
This is the first time a Latymer student has achieved full marks in this very challenging final paper (which is comprised of just four questions and lasts for three and hour half hours!). There was just one other student nationally who achieved the same mark as Neel making him joint first in the UK - a fantastic result and we are very happy that Neel has done so well - his consistent hard work to reach this level is to be applauded.
Neel will be representing the UK at the Romanian Master of Mathematics 2016 competition over the February half term holiday and he again has been invited to a maths training camp at Trinity College, Cambridge over Easter this year. Neel was selected to represent the UK in the International Mathematical Olympiad team in Thailand last summer and we are very hopeful that he will be selected to represent the UK in the International Mathematical Olympiad team in Hong Kong this summer.
We wish Neel every success with all these events.
