On 7th November, nearly 90 students took part in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge which is an 90 minute multiple choice paper. Most of the students were from Y12, and a few students were from other year groups. We are very pleased to announce that the highest score in the school was achieved by Ben Gillott (10A), which is exceptional given his age.
Following on from this, 14 students qualified to take part in the Senior Kangaroo and 4 qualified for round 1 of the British Mathematical Olympiad. Both rounds will take place in school on Friday 27th November.
We also have a team of 4 sixth form students who will be taking part in the UKMT Senior Team Challenge. They will be competing against other North London schools in a regional final on Wednesday 27th November. The team have been meeting at lunchtimes to prepare themselves for the competition which should be very enjoyable as well as challenging. We wish them the best of luck!
