We are extremely excited and proud to announce that a team of year 8 students have been short-listed as finalists for the Talent 2030 competition. Talent 2030 , the National Engineering Competition that invites girls to solve the major challenges of the 21st century, showing how engineering makes a difference to people and the planet, and aims to encourage more talented young females to pursue careers in manufacturing and engineering – including software development.
Sarah , Freya and Oluwatumise ( all in 8Lb) designed a bamboo structure to protect houses in flood prone areas. They entered their invention into the years 7 to 9 category and will present their project at the final to be held at the NEC Birmingham on March 16th.
