Gala Dinner at The House of Lords - May 2004

Last May we held a Gala Dinner at the House of Lords hosted by Lord Graham of Edmonton. This event was part of our fund raising initiatives for the New Sports Hall and Dining Facility at the Latymer School.

This is the first time Latymer have organised such an event and all 120 places were sold in no time. Guests included students, parents and staff past and present, friends and supporters. After guided tours of the Houses of Parliament a champagne reception was held on the terrace with breathtaking views across the River Thames and the wonderful sounds from the Latymer string quartet. After a superb meal guests were entertained by a number of excellent speakers; Dr. Andrew Vallance-Owen, Chairman of the Campaign, George Alagiah Patron, Lord Graham of Edmonton and our guest speaker Sir Trevor Brooking who we are very grateful to for his presence and support of our Campaign. This magical evening was a tremendous success and raised over £6,000 towards the Sports Fund.
